- Are people talking about you online? Dr. Judy Strauss has developed a detailed blueprint for building, managing, and repairing your online reputation.

- Reno's Big Gamble: Image and reputation in the biggest little city
- Gambling, prostitution and the possibility of easy divorce put Reno on the map. Dr. Alicia Barber's book tells the story of how Reno has shaped its identity from a backward railroad town to a lively tourist mecca.

- Exploring Planetary Surfaces
- Dr. Wendy Calvin, a geophysicist and planetary explorer, has spent the last decade exploring the surfaces of Mars, Ganymede, and Pluto's satellite Charon. Her work with the NASA Mars Exploration Rover Mission has resulted in articles in Science and other prestigious journals.

- Fantastic Nevada
- As an award-winning fantasy author, Dr. Susan Palwick is known for her novels Flying in Place, Shelter and The Necessary Beggar. In this recording, Dr. Palwick considers the ways in which the state of Nevada lends itself to speculative fiction.

- Sarah Johnson's Mount Vernon: The forgotten history of an American shrine
- Dr. Scott Casper of the Department of History discusses his book, which provides an intimate picture of Mount Vernon during the late 19th century, and explores the remarkable history of the lives and contributions of African Americans who played an essential part in creating and maintaining this American landmark.

- Protest, Memory and Reenactment
- Joseph DeLappe, Professor of the Department of Art, discusses art and activism as realized in both virtual and real territories. As a media artist he has created a series of protests, interventions, and reenactments within computer games and online communities.

- The Polaris Project: Rising stars studying climate change in the Arctic and mountain lakes
- Sudeep Chandra, Associate Professor of Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Science, researches innovative ways to fight invasive species that are threatening Lake Tahoe’s ecology. He is also a principal investigator with the Polaris Project, an international team of scientists studying climate change in the Arctic. He will discuss global warming and lakes, focusing on his interests in Lake Tahoe and arctic lakes.
